Answers to some common questions:Q. Is this the correct class to apply for a License to Carry?
Yes, once you receive a completion certificate, you can apply to your local Police Chief.
Q. Will there be any live ammunition used in class?
No, due to safety regulations we do not keep live ammunition on the class site. ***Residents of Quincy, Sharon and Weymouth please note your towns require a Live Fire component so our regular LTC class will not fulfill that requirement.***
Q. Who has given you authority to teach this course?
The Massachusetts State Police and The National Rifle Association.
Q. Do I need to study or bring anything to class?
No, you will be given course materials.
Q. Is there a test?
There are in class quizzes on the materials we went over and in class exercises to load actual firearms with dummy bullets (no gunpowder). The reality is that almost everyone gets a completion certificate.
